If you are shopping for an OLED TV in the UAE this autumn, the real question is not which one is “best” but how much you pay for what. The Samsung S95H wins on raw highlight punch, yet the LG C6 answers with a glossy panel that keeps blacks deep, a lower price and gaming features few rivals match.

This LG OLED evo C6 review sticks to what changes your evenings: real brightness, 165Hz gaming, webOS, sound, and where this TV stumbles. Numbers come from published lab tests, and we name the source when two outlets disagree. If you are comparing it with the Korean rival, read our Samsung S95H OLED review alongside this one.

Looking for the best OLED TV in the UAE without overspending? The verdict is at the bottom.

Design and build

Nothing dramatic has changed on the outside: a very thin screen with almost no bezel, and a rear housing that holds the processor, speakers and ports. The LG OLED evo C6 looks nearly identical to the C5 before it, which is no bad thing, because it blends into any living room. The silver metal stand lifts the panel above a console table, but its angled design can get in the way if you want a soundbar sitting right under the screen, so measure the soundbar height first.

The 65-inch model is about 144 cm wide and 4.5 cm deep without the stand, according to What Hi-Fi. It is light for its size but the edges are sharp, so plan on two people to hang it. The version in our product card is the 55-inch, the most realistic size for most apartment living rooms in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Picture quality: brightness and colour

This is the biggest step up from last year. TechRadar measured a HDR peak of about 1,438 nits on a 10% window against 1,180 for the C5, and roughly 245 nits full-screen against 195. Tom’s Guide recorded a close 1,355 nits. In practice, explosions, sunlight on water and neon signs hit harder, while blacks stay truly black because every pixel lights itself.

Colour is excellent out of the box: 99.7% DCI-P3 coverage and an average Delta-E of 1.2 per TechRadar, which means skin tones and grass look natural without tweaking. Use Filmmaker Mode for films, and if blacks look slightly grey, drop Near Black Detail to -1, as What Hi-Fi suggests.

The flip side: the screen is glossy and reflects light. In a UAE living room flooded with afternoon sun you will see the window in the picture. If your room faces the sun, budget for curtains or look at the S95H and its matte screen.

Gaming: the strongest suit

You get four HDMI 2.1 ports at 48Gbps, refresh up to 165Hz at 4K from a PC (consoles run at 120Hz), plus VRR, FreeSync, G-SYNC, HGiG and Dolby Vision gaming. Measured input lag is about 9.2 ms at 4K/60Hz and 4.6 ms at 1080p/120Hz, so your aim does not wait on the screen. A Game Optimizer dashboard keeps these settings in one place, and cloud gaming works through GeForce Now, Xbox Cloud Gaming and Amazon Luna. If you play on a PS5 Pro, our PS5 Pro review covers which accessories are worth buying.

webOS and sound

The TV runs webOS with the Alpha 11 AI Gen 3 processor. Menus are simpler than in previous years, there is an AI hub with search powered by Gemini and Copilot, and LG promises up to five years of OS updates according to the Amazon listing. The annoying part is advertising on the home banner and screensaver, which you can reduce in settings but not remove entirely.

Built-in sound is 2.2 channels with Dolby Atmos. LG tuned it better than the C5, with tighter bass and clearer dialogue, but volume is limited and there is no DTS support. Treat a soundbar as part of the budget if you watch films often. If you prefer headphones for late-night viewing, see our guide to the best noise-cancelling headphones in the UAE.

Comparison table: C6 vs C5 vs S95H

In short: the S95H wins on brightness and glare, the C6 on Dolby Vision, slightly lower lag and size choice. The C5 stays a smart pick only if you can find it at a clear discount.

Price and value in the UAE

When we wrote this review the 55-inch model was listed at AED 5,299 on Amazon.ae. Prices move often, so rely on the live price in the product card below. The 65-, 77- and 83-inch sizes are also listed on Amazon.ae at higher prices.

Is it good value? Yes, if you want a strong picture and flagship gaming features without paying S95H money. If your room is very bright and you want maximum punch, the extra spend on the Samsung is easier to justify. If budget is the priority, look at the cheaper B6 line, accepting lower brightness.

One buying note: the card links to the 55-inch version, so check the size that matches your seating distance before you order. As a rule of thumb, sit about twice the screen width away.

  • Dolby Vision, cloud gaming and up to five years of webOS updates per the Amazon listing
  • Sound is better than the C5, though volume is limited and a soundbar is advisable in big rooms
  • Glossy screen reflects light in sunny rooms
  • No HDR10+ or DTS, and ads appear on the home screen
  • Design is almost identical to last year, with sharp edges when mounting

Frequently asked questions

Is the C6 worth the extra money over the C5?

If the C5 is deeply discounted, buy the C5. At a similar price, take the C6 for its brighter, more accurate picture, faster processor and 165Hz support.

LG C6 or Samsung S95H for a bright UAE living room?

The S95H. Its matte screen cuts reflections and it reaches about 2,721 nits in HDR against 1,355 for the C6 in Tom’s Guide testing. See our S95H review for details.

Is it good for PS5 and Xbox?

Yes. Four HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR, ALLM and 4K at 120Hz make it one of the best screens for consoles.

Should I worry about burn-in?

Risk exists mainly with static content shown for hours every day, such as a news ticker. With mixed use it is low, and the TV includes built-in protection features.

Which size should I choose?

55 inches suits a seat two to three metres away; go 65 inches for more distance. The 77- and 83-inch models use a different panel, according to TechRadar.

Do I need a soundbar?

For news and series, the built-in speakers are fine in a small room. For films and games, add a soundbar.

Verdict

The LG OLED evo C6 is the balanced OLED for most UAE homes: vivid picture, top-tier gaming and a smooth smart system, for less than its Korean rival. Skip it if your room is sun-filled all day or you want the brightest screen money can buy, because the S95H does that better.
